You may have noticed the paw print in Shahla’s logo.  This is indeed not a mistake, but a well thought out intention.  Shahla is not only a pet friendly realtor here to help you manage through the sale of your home while accommodating the needs of your furry family members, but she is also an advocate for animal welfare.  Shahla actively supports several animal rescue organizations, but specifically has committed her time to one particular rescue that is near and dear to her heart.  Born out of her love for her 2 Siberian Huskies, Ruby & Mason, and her concern for the over popularity of the breed, Shahla is an active contributor and board member of 3 Husketeers Rescue.

3 Husketeers Rescue is a 501 3C non-profit based out of Spring City, Pennsylvania but with deep ties to the Lehigh Valley.  Each year, 3 Husketeers rescues, rehabilitates and adopts out 100’s of at-risk Siberian Huskies.  The popularity of breed due to their inherent good looks and talkative nature was elevated even more by their appearance in pop culture.  Everything from big screen movies, to Tik Tok videos, people have come to love and adore the husky.  Through her work with 3 Husketeers Rescue, Shahla seeks to educate the public on this particular breed with the hope that those who are attracted to the breed will stop and learn what they require of a family before adopting them into theirs.  Shahla believes that our fur family members are a life time commitment and deserve to be treated as such.

The Street Dogs and Cats of Kherson, Ukraine

When the war in Ukraine started, Shahla noticed several members of her Facebook Husky groups became silent.  Her quest to find out what was happening to animals caught in the midst of a horrible war, led her to meet a wonderful woman in Kherson, Ukraine. Despite the horrors of war, Irina Alexandronova has chosen to stay behind to care for the elderly that cannot leave as well as animals abandoned and left behind on the streets of Kherson.  Shahla continues to donate and send humanitarian aid to Irina in support of her work with the elderly and the animals.  If you would like to learn more or donate to help Irina provide food, shelter and veterinary care for these animals, please visit Irina’s Facebook page.
